Performance Opportunity!
The Bay Area Chorus is a mixed adult choir of approximately 60 voices. The BAC Chamber Singers, selected from members of the parent group, number from 16-24. New members are accepted by audition in August prior to the start of the season and in January after the holiday break. Visit our BAC Auditions Information page for additional information about auditioning for the chorus.
Music Educators
Get on the other side of the podium and gain the singer's perspective. Come join us and utilize those performance skills you worked so hard to attain as you share wonderful choral music with family, friends, students and the community at large. We believe that experience is the best teacher, and offer music educator scholarships for full time music teachers who qualify by audition to offset membership dues. Email us at info@bayareachorus.org for more information.
Students
The Bay Area Chorus encourages high school and college age students to participate and offers reduced membership dues for actively enrolled students.
Bay Area Chorus currently does not offer singing opportunities for children who have not yet reached high school age.
BAC Guild
Join others who believe that supporting the Bay Area Chorus is a rewarding experience. Guild members contribute their time and talent in a variety of ways, with daytime projects as well as service before, during and after BAC concerts. For more information about the Guild, email us at info@bayareachorus.org.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals are 7:00-9:00 pm on Monday nights at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church at 18220 Upper Bay Rd, Nassau Bay MAP (across from the NASA Johnson Space Center). The Chamber Singers rehearse the same evening, either before or after the full rehearsal.
Dues
Membership dues are a primary source of revenue for the chorus. Yearly dues for adult singers are $150. Dues for actively enrolled students are $75. Although a one-time payment is preferable, arrangements can be made for installment payments. In the case of calendar conflicts with the fall or spring concert series, special arrangements can be made to pay $75 ($37.50 for students) for either the fall or the spring season. An annual donation of $25 is requested for Guild membership.
